Photographs

Pte B Peach / Pte F Phillips: C Company, 1st Battalion, The Lincolnshire Regiment.

India 1939

These photographs were in an album given to a charity shop in early 2011. The shop was unable to sell them and they were destined to be thrown away. We are grateful to Tracey Holmes, who saved them from the bin and contacted us to arrange to donate them.

The photographs are something of a mystery, both because of the way they were discovered, and because the fly leaf bears the names of two soldiers: Pte B Peach and Pte F Phillips. We would be very keen to hear from anyone who can tell us more about these photographs and the men in them. You can contact us by email at postmaster@thelincolnshireregiment.org
