Maurice Arthur Scott

11/05/2015

As you can see I am not an ex soldier, rather I am an ex Royal Navy submariner, however, my step Dad who came into my life when I was only three and was therefore my Dad for all of my formative years was an ex Poacher.

His name was Maurice Arthur Scott and he was born in Grantham but moved to Bracebridge Heath, just outside Lincoln. He served in Egypt but that is all I really know. He unfortunately passed away several years back but we did play The Lincolnshire Poacher at his funeral.

I attach several pictures of my Dad whilst he was in the regiment. The group picture, in which he is kneeling front left, was taken during some training, the remainder in Egypt I believe although not sure about the one under the trees.
