Memories of 2nd Battalion Days

Leonard George Smith 1934 - 1946

A few years ago, before he sadly passed away, my Grandfather wrong a brief account of his experiences in the Lincolns during WW2. I have just finished editing it and making sure all people/place names are correct. It was a time that meant an awful lot to him and something that we talked about regularly. I wondered if his story would be of any interest to you. He never really wanted it published anywhere while he was alive, mainly because he thought "no one would be interested"! But I hate the thought of it becoming yet another lost story so I am offering it to any organisations who I think it may like to archive or use it in some way. And if even a few others read it and take some interest then I think it is well worth sharing.
