Between 1914 and 1918, the 19 Battalions of The Lincolnshire Regiment gained 58 battle honours and won 3 Victoria Crosses, but sustained an estimated 8800 casulaties.

Timeline
1685 - The Earl of Bath's Regiment was raised
1751 - Designated "The Tenth Regiment of Foot"
1782 - Renamed "The North Lincolnshire Regiment
1881 - Renamed "The Lincolnshire Regiment"
1946 - The regiment was honoured with the title "The Royal Lincolnshire Regiment"
1960 - "The 2nd East Anglian Regiment (Duchess of Gloucester's Own)" was an amalgamation of the Royal Lincolnshire and the Northamptonshire Regiments
1964 - "The Royal Anglian Regiment" was formed by amalgamating the 1st, 2nd and 3rd East Anglian Regiments with the Royal Leicestershire Regiment. The 2nd East Anglians were redesignated as the 2nd Battalion (2RA).
